Children's MinistryChildren are a vital focus for the AWC church. We offer several differnt services for them and strive to ensure that they are taught the truth of God's Word from a young age. In accordance with scripture, we work to train up a child in the way that they should go and this starts at a young age. The children of today's church are the leaders of tomorrow's. As such, it is critical that they are prepared to be the next generation of worship leaders, singers, musicians, teachers, and preachers. As with the youth ministry, chidlren's ministry functions as an extension of what is taught at home. It is not simply a Sunday School daycare but a place of learning, teaching, and worship! The Sunday School ages are: 2 years - 12 years At 12 years of age, the child moves into the youth group ServicesChildren's Service 10:00 AM Every 2nd Sunday is the Children's Service. This service is geared directly for children. There are puppets, a children's choir, special songs, and a special sermon just for them! Most importantly, there is also a special time for the children to come to the altar and pray! Sunday Morning 10:00 AM On a non Children's Service Sunday, the childrent begin the service with the adults for the worship service. At around 10:30, the chidlren break off to thier own children's church service in another part of the building. In this service, the childern will have singing, action songs, puppets, and a special lesson and prayer time. These activities are designed for children of all ages. There is something for everyone! Wednesday Night 7:30 PM This is a Sunday School style class where the students are taught bible stories. There are fun activies for them to do and there is also a snack time. The students are given take home papers to reinforce what they learn in class. The classes are broken up according to age group. |
